By painting, I build spaces on the canvas, scenes for surprising visions and passing moments. I paint the memories of situations and emotions, beauty and brutality of nature, growth and withering, the fear of dark and comfort of the humming trees, bubbling joy and infinity sadness, all of which interweave like a string of pearls. Stratification and small parts forming a coherent whole fascinates me in the act of painting as well as in life.

The passage of time and the inevitability of change are tearing, but the impermanent nature of life makes all moments precious.
