VIEW-paintings have their origin in stock market curves and their iceberg-like structure. After pondering and sketching these views took the form of paintings in the autumn of 2013. The rises and downfalls got their colours from Greek islands, the Arctic Sea and the changing seasons on the artist’s home yard.

The painter Anu Tuomi has held exhibitions since 1973, some of the latest were a solo exhibition in 2010 and Triennial for Textile Art 2012-2013 in Turku, Oulu and Joensuu. In January 2014 the other collection of VIEW-exhibition is shown in Galleria Ronka, Tampere. Tuomi has also worked as a teacher of painting and visual expression in Arts Academy of Turku and as the Head of the degree program in Fine Arts in Turku University of Applied Science. You are welcome to the opening of the exhibition on Thursday 2nd of January 2014 at 6pm-8pm and to meet the artist on Sunday 12th of January 2014 at 3pm!
