FLUXATIONS 2012

Fluxations 2012 takes place from the 10th of October to the 13th of November 2012 and consists of three pieces of art. The project is continuation for the Turku 2011 European Capital of Culture -year.

Artworks:

AARTEET/THE TREASURES  AKU – VISUAALISTA AKUPUNKTIOTA  (Heini Aho and Sebastian Ziegler) The mobile projection piece reveals big and small treasures in different sites of the city. You can find detailed information about the chosen projection sites from the 23rd of October on at www.visual-aku.com. The projections will start on the 1st of November. Projection time: appr. 1,5hrs from 6 pm to 8 pm.

ÅBOA WHISPER  Tommi Juutilainen The animation is projected on the Turku City Library wall, Linnankatu 2. It shows the Cathedral of Turku in a new light. You can also listen to the sounds of this animation in your own radio at 93,8 Mhz frequency, with 15 minutes interval. Projection time: Mon-Fri from 6 pm to 12 pm and Sat-Sun from 6 pm to 4 am.

AUTUMN IN THE HEART/SYKSYÄ RINNASSA  MITÄS PLIKAT -collective (Mari Aarnio, Aino-Maria Kangas and Eeva Saaros) The Mitäs Plikat collective gathered stories and memories related to the river Aura, during the past Summer. It resulted in three different video projections which are to be seen on three windows by the river Aura at Manilla (Itäinen Rantakatu 64), Arts Council of Varsinais-Suomi (Linnankatu 24) and West Finland Film Comission (Läntinen Rantakatu 13). Projection time: from 6 pm to 12 pm.
