FLUXATIONS 2017: Interview with the Curator Jaakko Pesonen

Posted on 17.2.2017

Jaakko Pesonen wants to point out that it is the artworks that make the event, not the curator.

The art works for the FLUXATIONS 2017 event were curated by the media artist Jaakko Pesonen. He reviewed the proposals with a keen interest and is now looking forward to the upcoming event. Pesonen points out that it is the artworks that make the event, not the curator.

In Pesonen’s opinion the Turku Main Library is the best possible place for Fluxations 2017 as it attracts all kinds of people. He thinks that the modern library building matches well with media art.

”The selected works communicate with each other in a way, so it’s a good thing that they are all situated at the library”, Pesonen says.

Turku Artists Association presents the curator and each of the Fluxations 2017 artists. The interviews are published before the event on Turku Artists Association’s webpages and on Facebook.
