Fluxations brings the light to the river banks

Light, video and sound will be presented by the river in Turku until the 13th of November. Three artpieces form the Fluxations 2012 event. Two of them, Åboa Whisper and Autumn in the Heart/Syksyä rinnassa, are to be seen every evening. The third one, The Treasures/Aarteet is visible in the evenings from the 1st of November on.

The animation shows an iconic Turku image, The Cathedral, in a new light.  The piece is projected on a wall of Turku Main Library. The projection is visible on Mon-Fri from 6 pm to 11 pm and on Sat-Sun from 6 pm to 4 am. You can listen to the sounds of the animation also on your radio, at 93,8 Mhz frequency.

Autumn in the Heart/Syksyä rinnassa MITÄS PLIKAT -collective (Mari Aarnio, Aino-Maria Kangas and Eeva Saaros)

The three videos are based on memories which the MITÄS PLIKAT-collective gathered from the passers-by on the banks of the river Aura last Summer.You can see the video projections in three windows by the river: at Manilla (Itäinen Rantakatu 64), Arts Council of Varsinais-Suomi (Linnankatu 24) and West Finland Film Comission (Läntinen Rantakatu 13). Projections are on from 6 pm to 12 pm.

The Treasures/Aarteet AKU -visual acupuncture (Heini Aho and Sebastian Ziegler)

The Treasures/Aarteet is a mobile projection of  precious, big and small treasures in different spots in the riverside area.The projections can be seen every evening from the 1st of November on, between 6 pm and 8 pm.
