In honour of its jubilee Turku Artists’ Association has invited two new honorary members. With their activity both of them have promoted significantly the fulfilment of association’s purposes.

Minna Maija Lappalainen has successfully coordinated Turku Artists’ Association’s Taf taf –project during years 2004-2013. Taf taf was a bilateral cultural and developmental project upheld by Turku Artists’ Association and the Dakar-based regional association Jasg, which in cooperation with the local inhabitants and Finnish professionals from different fields built permanent infrastructure suited to the local environment to the poor Santhiaba suburb in Senegal’s capital city Dakar.

Riitta Liede worked as the association’s chairwoman in years 2008-2009. During her time as a chairwoman the activities of Turku Artists’ Association were significantly developed and expanded. Association’s policy was defined and goals were made so that it enabled the association to function in the way it currently does.

Earlier Aaron Hiltunen, Jorma Jaakkola, Kauko Koskelin, Antti Lampisuo and Maarit Nissilä have been invited as honorary members.
