The Artist of the Year 2015 is Katri Ikävalko.

The 91st traditional Annual Exhibition of the Turku Artists’ Association is now on display at the Old Town Hall Gallery and Berner Gallery 16.10.–15.11.2015. The jury of the exhibition, visual artist Kaari Hilkka Könönen, has chosen Katri Ikävalko (b. 1985) as the Artist of the Year 2015. Ikävalko’s exhibition will be seen at the Gallery Å in August 2016.

The exhibition is an overview of contemporary art from Southwest Finland and the most interesting current artists. The artists are Vesa Aaltonen, Konstantina Achilleos, Tonja Goldblatt, Jenni Hanhilammi-Kaipainen, Sini-Meri Hedberg, Matti Helenius, Aaron Hiltunen, Marjatta Holma, Kerttu Hyvönen, Katri Ikävalko, Kati Immonen, Sirkku Ketola, Hertta Kiiski, Maija Kurki, Renja Leino, Riitta Liede, Laura Miettinen, Riikka Niittonen, Anna Nummi, Reija Palo-oja, André Peterdi, Veronika Ringbom, Margarita Rosselló Ramón and Tarja-Liisa Salo.

The Old Town Hall Gallery and Berner Gallery (Vanha Suurtori 5, Turku) are open Tue–Fri 12–19 and Sat–Sun 11–17. Free admission.
