The Artist of the Year 2016 is Marjatta Holma

The 92nd Annual Exhibition of the Turku Artists’ Association is now on display at the Old Town Hall Gallery and Brinkkala Gallery 30.9.–6.11.2016. The jury of the exhibition, Jenny Nybom, museum director of Lönnström Art Museum, and Piia Oksanen, curator from Wäinö Aaltonen Museum of Art have chosen Marjatta Holma (b. 1976) as the Artist of the Year 2016. Holma’s exhibition will be seen at the Gallery Å in autumn 2017.

The exhibition is an overview of contemporary art from Southwest Finland and the most interesting current artists. The artists are Laura Aalto-Setälä, Anna Ellmén, Toni Hautamäki, Matti Helenius, Marjatta Holma, Noora Isoeskeli, Lotta-Pia Kallio, Eliisa Määttälä, Erkki Nampajärvi and Margarita Rosselló Ramón.

The Old Town Hall Gallery and Brinkkala Gallery (Vanha Suurtori 3-5, Turku) are open Tue–Sun 10–18. Free admission.
