The Turku Artists’ Association’s Annual Exhibition 2012

The 88th traditional Annual Exhibition of the Turku Artists’ Association will be seen at Gallery Köysiratagalleria 28.8. – 14.9.2012.

The exhibition, which is coordinated by the Turku Artists’ Association, is open to all artists from Southwest Finland. The jury of the exhibition consists of Leena Kela, regional artist or performance art, and Heini Aho, visual artist.

Artists may  present up to three art works or series or art works to the jury. The works are to be from the years 2010-2012. Video art and performances are to be brought to the jury on DVD’s, not via e-mail. The works presented for the jury are to be brought to the  Köysiratagalleria gallery on 24.8.2012 between 12-16 o’clock.

The fee to offer works to the exhibition is 20 €, with the exception of students at the Turku Arts Academy, for whom the fee is 10 €.

The exhibition is a unique chance for especially the young artists to get their works exhibited. Also, from among the participants of the exhibition, the Artist of the Year 2012 is selected. The Artist of the Year is awarded a free three week exhibition at Gallery Å in 2013.

The 88th Annual Exhibition of  the Turku Artists’ Association is an overview of contemporary art from Southwest Finland and the most interesting current artists.

The exhibition is part of the Kulkulupa-event, which is held on 8-9.9.2012.
